Artifactual life?
Non-Platonic self-organization: "Artifactual Life"?
The trivial explanation for non-Platonism w.r.t. step size is rate conflation. Changing the step size or a (introduced, if necessary) rate variable r should be indistinguishable.
But temporal and spatial step size in non-Platonic glider-systems do not seem to interact according to a simple velocity ratio (i.e. meeting the CFL condition).
Likewise rate conflation can't explain dependence on lower numerical precision, as in Scutium gravidus in Lenia.
Perhaps non-Platonic self-organization is multicausal/synergistic. What other factors are worth looking at?
