Aliasing and interference

Beyond aliasing, we can consider other types of interference.
Repeated application of a convolution kernel can cause checkerboard artifacts, for example.
- Resonance between patterns and convolutions (and/or periodicity in time) could construct "rogue wave" type phenomena.
